Duties/Responsibilities of Supervisor
- Serves for 3 years as one of three on a board responsible for town business the law has not committed to others.
- Responsible for overseeing annual expenditures for safety and welfare of town citizens including fire protection, land ordinances, town roads, elections, solid waste and record keeping.
- Work with other government units and groups for the welfare of citizens and the environment.
Supervisor Phil Halverson was elected on May 8, 2007. He is the current Board Chair. He will be the liaison to the Town Office, liaison to the Planning and Zoning Commission and Ex-Officio to St. Louis Co. Planning Commission.
Supervisor Brian Hayden was elected in March of 2009. He is the liaison Supervisor for the Fire Department and also liaison to the Recreation Department.
Supervisor Jerry Larson was elected in March of 2007. He is the liaison Supervisor for Safety, representative to Duluth Area of Townships and also the representative for the Saint Louis County Association of Townships. He was also elected as Vice Chair for the Board of Supervisors.
Supervisor Tim Musick was elected in March of 2005 and is the liaison Supervisor for Road & Bridge, the Recycling Program and he is also Lakewood's Representative on the North Shore Management Board.
Supervisor Shannon Ostazeski was elected on May 8, 2007. She will be the liaison to the Building and Grounds Department, Recreation Department and the liaison to the Board of Adjustment.
