The change in dates will allow the public additional time to review the proposed CLUP.

Comments on the CLUP may be made at the Public Hearing and/or by sending written comments to: townclerk@lakewoodmn.com or to the Town Hall at 3110 Strand Rd., Duluth, MN 55803

Lakewood Residents and Landowners-
Our Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) is nearing its final stages. Below is a list of dates outlining the remainder of the process. All of the meetings, with the exception of the remaining Steering Committee meetings, will be held at the Town Hall.
The open houses will be an opportunity for all to review the draft plan and ask questions about its content. They will be informational sessions hosted by members of the CLUP committee.
Following the open houses a public hearing will be held for citizens to voice their opinions and suggestions to the plan in front of the Planning and Zoning Commission.
Those suggestions will then be taken up with the Board of Supervisors who will then modify, approve or reject the draft as presented.
Your input is valuable and highly encouraged. Page 1 of our current CLUP describes its importance by stating “Our Comprehensive Land Use Plan sets the goals and policies to direct further growth and explains the community’s intent in formulating them.”
